Ben Shelton and Donna Vekic Take Sunday’s Big Titles on Grass

Ben Shelton looks full of fizz and ready to impress as we near the meaningful action at Wimbledon 2026.
The feisty 23-year-old beat reigning champion and compatriot Taylor Fritz in a brilliant final in Stuttgart.
It was Shelton’s first title on grass – and he will arrive at Wimbledon hungry for more.
Ben Shelton is always box office – and now he looks primed to do America proud at Wimbledon 2026!
He thoroughly deserved his 6-4, 2-6, 6-4 victory over last year’s Wimbledon semi-finalist Fritz, who will also believe he can go deep again at the All England Club.
Shelton becomes the first American to lift titles on all three surfaces in the same season since Sam Querrey back in 2010.
And that is going to give big-hitting Ben the confidence he needs to launch a serious campaign for the Wimbledon title.
Ben Shelton must believe he can go deeper at Wimbledon 2026 than last year’s quarter-final appearance.
And Americans will flock to Wimbledon knowing that both Shelton and Fritz are capable of lifting the trophy on the final Sunday.
Shelton said of his Stuttgart triumph: ‘It certainly means a lot to me. I’m pretty exhausted, but it’s great to play the way I did against quality opponents.
‘I played in very tight matches here. And today I got a win against one of the best grass court players in the world. It’s a huge boost for my confidence.’
Donna Vekic and Emma Raducanu will also arrive at Wimbledon 2026 brimming with confidence.
The Croatian caught Emma cold in the first set of their Queen’s Club final. And heartbreakingly, Raducanu squandered set points to level the match.

Donna showed that class to beat the home favourite 6-0, 7-6 (8-6). But Raducanu has still loved the last week in London. And she is capable of testing the best in the second week at Wimbledon 2026.
