American players are preparing for their biggest battles so far at Wimbledon 2024.
You can’t win Wimbledon without beating the best. And it’s going to be exciting for American tennis fans to see how their top stars fair over the next two days.
There will be so much drama to enjoy on Sunday and Monday. And we will see which Americans can emerge victorious from their big tests.
American players are adding so much to Wimbledon 2024 – and they will receive huge support from patriotic spectators at Wimbledon 2024. Will you be there to watch them?
Ben Shelton faces the toughest test of all when he faces world number one Jannik Sinner on Sunday. That match will take place on Court No1 – and the atmosphere will be joyous and magical!
Shelton isn’t short of talent and he can beat anyone on his day. But Sinner has adapted well to grass – and he is one of the big favourites for the title.
Tommy Paul faces Wimbledon veteran Roberto Bautista Agut, who is a former Wimbledon semi-finalist. The match takes place on Court 2. But in-form Tommy will be back on a bigger stage if he wins through.
On Monday Taylor Fritz faces Alexander Zverev. The German defeated the last remaining Brit in the men’s tournament, Cameron Norrie.
But Taylor Fritz has reached the quarter-finals before – and he can do so again if he pulls off a shock. The key will be to put enough early doubts in Zverev’s mind to shake him psychologically.
American players are guaranteed to produce a winner when Coco Gauff takes on her dangerous compatriot Emma Navarro on Centre Court on Sunday.
So we know American interest in Wimbledon 2024 will continue – no matter what the men do. And we shouldn’t forget that Madison Keys is also keeping American interest alive as she faces Jasmine Paolini on Court No1 on Sunday.
After the shock exit of Iga Swiatek on Saturday, the women’s singles title is definitely up for grabs. And former US Open winner Emma Raducanu will try to get in the mix when she appears on Centre Court on Sunday.
There is so much to enjoy as we approach the business end of Wimbledon 2024. Seize your opportunity to attend!
