Novak Djokovic keeps finding new ways to show us why he is the greatest player of all time.
He just beat the two best young players on the planet in the space of 24 hours. Novak thoroughly deserves to be in seventh heaven at the end of a stellar year.
Carlos Alcaraz lost the psychological battle on Saturday. Jannik Sinner was overpowered in all departments on Sunday.

Novak’s forehand had been suffocating in its depth and endlessly potent. And then there was the mental strength on display.
When he won the first point while serving for the first set, Djokovic let out a roar louder than anything that had come from the vast Italian crowd.
It was his answer to 13,000 cheers for Sinner. Novak fed off that atmosphere. He enjoyed silencing the locals. And not for a second was he ever going to be denied.
Before we knew it, Djokovic had bullied his way to a relatively simple 6-3, 6-3 victory, though the second set was harder than the first.
After holding out his arms in triumph and then warmly hugging his children, Novak couldn’t have been more content.
The world number one said: ‘This is very special. One of the best seasons I’ve had in my life. Winning against a home-town hero in Jannik is phenomonal.
‘I’m very proud of my performances against Alcaraz and Sinner. They are the best two players in the world aside from me right now.
‘My kids have been here the last couple of days. They have watched the tennis and it’s a thrill for me. I always wanted to play tennis in front of them once they knew what was going on. This is the age.’
Novak Djokovic will go for the biggest title one last time at Wimbledon 2024. Then in all probability he will be gone forever.
