Carlos Alcaraz Plays Novak Djokovic In ATP Semi-Finals!

Carlos Alcaraz will play Novak Djokovic in a repeat of the classic Wimbledon final earlier this year.
No one expected Alcaraz to become Wimbledon champion – but he shocked the seemingly invincible Serb when it mattered.
Now Djokovic has the chance to avenge that reverse and seal his place in the year-end final in Italy.

The Spaniard beat Daniil Medvedev 6-4, 6-4 on Friday. But he insisted it wasn’t as easy as it sounded.
Carlitos said: ‘I think the most important thing I did today was to stay strong mentally. I was struggling with a few games on serve because his return game is amazing – he puts so much pressure on you.
‘But I stayed calm and stayed strong mentally and that was the key to giving myself a chance today.’
But everyone was already thinking about the semi-finals on Saturday, because they are going to be spectacular.
Medvedev is still in the tournament – and plays home favourite Jannik Sinner in what should be a cracker.
Sinner is unbeaten so far this week – and the atmosphere in Turin will be electric.
But Alcaraz against Djokovic is the match that will most captivate the neutrals, due to their memorable recent Wimbledon history.
“Charlie” knows it will be tough. The youngster explained: ‘It’s one of the most difficult challenges I’m going to face. Novak is Novak. He is the best player in the world and he has only lost six matches this year. That’s incredible.
‘I’m going to try to bring my best tennis and enjoy it. I’m excited to play Novak again.’
So are we! And we can’t wait for the ATP semi-finals to start on Saturday.
Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic are sure to thrill at Wimbledon 2024 next July. But so can the improving Jannik Sinner and the dangerous Daniil Medvedev.
