Alcaraz Amazes Wimbledon 2023 – And Americans Are Through!

Wimbledon

July 10, 2023

Alcaraz is the name on everyone’s lips at Wimbledon 2023. Carlitos is learning so fast on grass that perhaps only the great Novak Djokovic can stop him.

First man to try will be be fellow twenty-year-old Holger Rune of Denmark.

It will be the first time two young men under the age of 21 contest a Wimbledon quarter-final in the open era.

Alcaraz never ceases to amaze us at Wimbledon 2023 – and one shot in particular will rank among the greatest in the history of The Championships.

Matteo Berrettini must have thought he had won the point in question with a sharp, angled volley, so acute as to be terminal.

That’s when Carlos raced forward with extraordinary speed – and found a pass so unworldly that we struggled to take in what had just happened.

The ball didn’t clear the net from the Alcaraz racquet – but then it didn’t have to.

The Spanish genius sent it round the post instead – and back into play beyond the astonished Italian. Alcaraz laughed. Berrettini smiled a painful smile.

In that dramatic moment, we suspected there would only be one winner on Centre Court – and so it proved. Alcaraz closed out the match 3-6, 6-3, 6-3, 6-3.

We warned potential customers that Alcaraz was ready to light up Wimbledon 2023 – and so it has proved.

But he is not alone. We also highlighted the extraordinary journey of Chris Eubanks recently.

And the plucky American continues to defy the form book by winning matches he isn’t supposed to come through.

This time he downed the powerful Stefanos Tsitsipas, who had been on fire at Wimbledon 2023 until now.

Eubanks refused to be beaten = and eventually edged the famous Greek 3-6, 7-6 (7-4), 3-6, 6-4, 6-4. It was a truly fantastic comeback.

Carlos Alcaraz and Chris Eubanks have captured the imagination at Wimbledon 2023!

And American women are still in the fight too. Madison Keys overcame the tearful teenager, Mirra Andreeva 3-6, 7-6 (7-4), 6-2. She plays Aryna Sabalenka in the quarter-finals.

Meanwhile Jessica Pegula was already through after defeating Lesia Tsurenko 6-1, 6-3 – and could go even further if she finds her best against Marketa Vondrousova.

We’re about to enter the closing stages of an incredible Wimbledon 2023 – and we want you to be there to enjoy all the action.

We’re just a friendly phone call away, if you’d like to join the world’s most glamorous sporting party.
