Carlos Alcaraz is learning fast.

Now he is surely capable of giving Novak Djokovic a run for his money at Wimbledon 2023.

The world’s two best players are on collision course to meet in the final on Wimbledon’s historic Centre Court.

Carlos Alcaraz is now a serious contender to take down Novak Djokovic at Wimbledon 2023!

He will have to keep on improving at his current extraordinary rate, if he is stop Djokovic from making further history.

Novak is trying to go ahead of the great Serena Williams for Grand Slam titles.

All he has to do is retain his crown at Wimbledon 2023. But that’s no longer a foregone conclusion – if it ever was.

The new kid on the block has suddenly discovered that he likes playing on grass. And that changes everything.

Carlos Alcaraz defeated Alex de Minaur 6-4, 6-4 in the final at Queen’s – and looked as though he had been playing on grass all his young life.

There was only one risky moment, when the likeable Spaniard faced a break point at 3-4 down in the first set.

But he saw off that threat – and took control like a seasoned champion on this unique surface.

Djokovic will surely take note. He knows the sort of challenge he will face, if the world’s two best players come up against each other at Wimbledon 2023.

Novak has all the experience – and beat Carlitos on his way to Roland Garros glory recently.

But Alcaraz will have benefited from that clash too – and it’s only a matter of time before he takes over from the imperious Serb.

Will it happen this year? We’ll soon see.

Carlos Alcaraz will follow in the footsteps of Roger Federer and The Princess of Wales when he arrives at the All England Club for Wimbledon 2023.

Fed and the Princess recently enjoyed playing in a relaxed doubles match on Court 3 – and that’s typical Wimbledon.

Celebrities, royalty and former champions often rub shoulders at the most glamorous sporting location of them all.

But Carlos Alcaraz will now have his eyes on the main prize at Wimbledon 2023.

He said after his Queen’s Club triumph: ‘It helps a lot to be top seed at Wimbledon. I have played eleven matches in my career on grass. I have to get more experience and more hours.

‘But obviously after beating amazing players at the level I’m playing, I consider myself one of the favourites to win Wimbledon.’

Carlos Alcaraz or Novak Djokovic for Wimbledon 2023? Who will raise the trophy?
