Bianca Andreescu and Taylor Fritz Shine In Miami

Bianca Andreescu is back with a bang! And she isn’t even playing at full capacity yet.
The Canadian superstar reckons she has summoned only 75% of her true potential during her incredible run in Miami.
The former US Open winner has been plagued by injury and struggled for consistency in the last few years.
But you wouldn’t know it judging by recent results.
Bianca Andreescu will be back to her very best in time for Wimbledon 2023! What an intriguing thought for our Canadian customers and tennis fans worldwide!
In the last week she has beaten Grand Slam winners Emma Raducanu and Sofia Kenin, either side of an epic triumph over ex-French Open semi-finalist, Maria Sakkari.
Andreescu couldn’t be enjoying herself more. And crucially she is gaining in confidence all the time.
Bianca explained: ‘Last time I played here in 2021, I did not enjoy myself. I did not feel that I deserved to be in that final.
‘But this year I feel like a totally different person. And I definitely feel I deserve to be here right now.’
There is every indication that Bianca Andreescu can go further still.
Her fourth-round opponent is Ekaterina Alexandrova – and the Canadian must believe she is capable of prevailing in that contest.
Meanwhile American superstar Taylor Fritz is also on song in Florida. He downed the dangerous Denis Shapovalov in straight sets to progress once more.
Fritz played a patient game to get what he wanted and explained: ‘I couldn’t really find that attacking formula because he was hitting the ball so hard and he was hitting his second serve so big.
‘It turned more into making balls and being steady. ‘
But we can all expect a more swashbuckling style form Fritz against next opponent Holger Rune.
Taylor explained: ‘In this next match against Holger I would be surprised if I didn’t get more chances to attack.’
And we can’t wait to see Taylor Fritz and Bianca Andreescu go on the attack at Wimbledon 2023!
