December 16, 2022

Rafael Nadal has deservedly been crowned ITF world champion for his achievements in 2022.

The Spaniard won the Australian and French Opens before sustaining an injury at Wimbledon.

Otherwise he might even have pursued his dream of a Calendar Slam.

Remember, Nadal defeated Taylor Fritz in a classic quarter-final at the All England Club.

And he was all set to face Nick Kyrgios in a mouth-watering clash before an abdominal tear ended his hopes.

Rafa never quite hit those same heights again for the rest of an action-packed season as he struggled for full fitness.

But you can bet Nadal will be back with a bang in the New Year, as he sets out to defend his Australian Open title.

Rafael Nadal will be a strong contender at Wimbledon 2023 too. He will aim to strengthen his claim to be called the greatest of all time!

‘I am very much looking forward to 2023 to share a lot of positive things again,’ he said the other day.

Nadal currently has one Grand Slam title more than Novak Djokovic. But the Serb will be desperate to draw level 22-22 at the next major.

Could the GOAT argument finally be settled at Wimbledon 2023? It’s possible.

For now, Nadal will delight in his latest accolade. And remember, he was named ATP Fans’ Favourite for the first time at their awards recently.

We all love Nadal’s fighting spirit and ability to bounce back after he has been written off!

That warrior mentality was never more evident than during the Australian Open final at the start of the year.

After two hours and 45 minutes against Daniil Medvedev, the Russian led 6-2, 7-6, 3-2, 40-0. Rafa survived those three break points to begin one of the great comebacks in tennis history.

And after taking that Australian major in five scintillating sets, he went on to win the French Open with a more straightforward victory over Casper Ruud.

Djokovic will probably prove Nadal’s toughest opponent in 2023. But wouldn’t you just love to see them duke it out one last time on Wimbledon’s Centre Court?

Rafael Nadal v Novak Djokovic at Wimbledon 2023 – with GOAT on the line!

What a prospect that would be! Would you like to attend Wimbledon 2023?

It has all the glamour of a showbiz event and all the history of an iconic sporting venue.

Everyone should sample the atmosphere on Centre Court at least once in their lives.

Will 2023 be your year?
