Emma Raducanu beat another former world number one in Cincinnati to demonstrate the huge strides she is taking on tour.

This time Victoria Azarenka became the victim of Raducanu’s brilliance.

And that was less than 24 hours after the superstar Brit saw off Serena Williams.

Emma defeated Vika 6-0, 6-2 to serve up a second bagel in quick succession against a true tennis giant.

The 19-year-old is still learning on tour after her epic US Open victory last year.

But this impressive run in Cincinnati represents significant progress because she has beaten both legends in such style.

Emma Raducanu will be such a formidable force at Wimbledon 2023!

She’ll bring her star quality and fierce determination to Centre Court next summer.

The atmosphere is sure to be electric at the most historic and glamorous venue of them all.

And two more Brits will still be battling it out for supremacy at the All England Club.

Andy Murray will surely want to go out with a bang at Wimbledon 2023 after his glittering career gave us all so much pleasure.

And Cameron Norrie seems to be going from strength to strength on tour these days.

Dynamic Norrie pipped Murray in Cincinnati in a match British fans just couldn’t lose.

But it was Emma Raducanu who dominated the headlines once more with her latest giant-killing feat.

She admitted later: ‘I played a great match. It was another great honour to play Vika. But what pleased me most was how I kept my nerve.’

Next up is a huge test against American number one Jessica Pegula. Whatever happens there, it feels like Raducanu has come of age.

And Norrie is also breaking new ground after surviving typical fireworks from Andy Murray.

The two-time Wimbledon winner started strongest in a match he would dearly have loved to win.

But Andy managed to convert just two of his eleven break points – and that lack of ruthlessness eventually took its toll.

World number 11 Norrie is now as fit as they come. And he stormed back to overcome brave Murray 3-6, 6-3, 6-4.

‘It’s a massive win for me, beating Andy for the first time,’ said Norrie.

‘I think it came down to a bit of physicality and he was struggling towards the end.’

Murray has no injury issues but he has been cramping in Cincinnati.

That shouldn’t be a problem next summer if Andy can put together a good run of tournaments in the build-up to the big one.
