Wimbledon Finalists Linda Noskova and Karolina Muchova have won the Billie Jean King Cup for Czechia.
Overcoming their Ukrainian opponents in the final, the women who gave us such great entertainment on Centre Court this summer can celebrate together.
Most of us will remember the wonderful Wimbledon final a few months ago. It saw the popular Muchova save five match points before finally succumbing to her younger rival.
Noskova was notable for her nerveless display as she stormed back to triumph 6-2, 5-7, 6-3.
Karolina was consoled by Catherine, Princess of Wales in dramatic Centre Court scenes as Noskova celebrated her first Grand Slam title.

This weekend, their victorious combined power underlined what a world force Czechia is in women’s tennis.
Noskova sealed Billie Jean Cup glory by beating the determined Elina Svitolina 6-3, 7-6 (7-5). And Muchova had set up the winning moment by defeating Anhelina Kalinina 6-2, 6-3.
Ukraine suffered from the absence of Marta Kostyuk due to a wrist injury. But you get the feeling these superb Wimbledon finalists would not have been denied by anyone.
Wimbledon winner Noskova was also a quarter-finalist at the US Open. The 21-year-old sensation has enjoyed an outstanding breakthrough year.
