Iga Swiatek Has Secret Strawberry Weapon To Win Wimbledon 2025
Wimbledon
July 6, 2025
Iga Swiatek has consistently complained about her struggles to play her best tennis on grass…until now.
Suddenly it all feels very different. Suddenly there is self-belief – even excitement about what is possible in the next week.
Suddenly her secret recipe is coming into play…Wimbledon strawberries…with pasta and yoghurt!
We know. It isn’t the first recipe that comes to mind when you think of Wimbledon and sporting champions.
Strawberries and cream has always been a Wimbledon tradition. Strawberries and pasta? Not so much. But this year it’s starting to work.
Iga Swiatek is now talking like someone who is starting to realise she has a great chance of winning Wimbledon 2025.
After defeating Danielle Collins 6-2, 6-3 with a commanding display on Centre Court, Swiatek shocked her on-court interviewer Annabel Croft with revelations of her favourite food.
Iga explained: ‘I have my favourite actually. I ate it as a kid. It is pasta with strawberries. You should try it guys. It is pasta with strawberries and a little bit of yoghurt. It is just great.’
The playful interview pointed to a much healthier mindset for Iga at Wimbledon 2025. Only recently she was bemoaning how ‘there is no hope for me on grass’ after losing a final to Jessica Peluga in Germany.
But as we never tire of pointing out here at WDH, Swiatek won Junior Wimbledon in 2018 – and there is no reason why she can’t win the women’s singles title either.
‘Honestly it is much more fun this year,’ she said. ‘The ball is listening to me. When it listens to me, I don’t have to do much.’
Iga Swiatek has strawberries, pasta and tennis balls that can hear. Let’s not question those observations before we see how far they can take her at Wimbledon 2025!
Will you be there to watch the drama unfold? Wimbledon 2025 has been incredible so far!
Make sure you join the party in time for Week Two at the All England Club.
We’re waiting to get you seated on Centre Court or No1 Court.
