Jack Draper and Emma Raducanu Settle on British Mentors

Jack Draper and Emma Raducanu have both been through their share of woes off the court in recent times.

Britain’s most talented man has been disrupted by injury. And former US Open champion Emma has had a succession of unconvincing coaching partnerships.

Jack Draper and Emma Raducanu both want to come back as strong as possible in the build-up to Wimbledon 2026.

And if he can stay fit, Draper has given himself the best possible chance in a promising new partnership.

Jamie Delgado has fantastic experience working with the likes of Andy Murray and Grigor Dimitrov.

Now the British coach aims to take Jack Draper as high as he wants to go in the next couple of years.

By his own admission, Draper tried too hard to hit the level of Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner in recent years – and almost broke his body in the process.

But Delgado feels he can guide Draper towards achieving his ambitions under careful guidance.

Asked about who will break the Alcaraz–Sinner dominance, Delgado suggested Draper was right to think big.

He replied: ‘It could be Jack – why not? That’s the way I’m thinking and seeing it as well.

‘You never know who it’s going to be. But there’s no reason why it can’t be Jack. I think he’s shown enough already for people to think it might rightfully be him.

‘He went on a path of winning a 250 tournament and then a 500. He won a Masters and he has been in the semi-final of a Grand Slam.

‘Jack has had wins over Carlos. I don’t think he has beaten Jannik and I think the mentality side of it is important. He needs the confidence to beat these guys in the biggest of matches.’

Jack Draper would love to go deep at Wimbledon 2026 – and emulate his run all the way to the 2024 US Open semis.

Raducanu won her only major in New York in 2021. But she has already been to the fourth round of Wimbledon twice too. And she believes aggression is the key.

Emma has chosen to have former British player and close friend Alexis Canter in her camp going forward.

She doesn’t want someone else’s tactical master plan imposed upon her game – because that makes her feel restricted.

Raducanu explained: ‘Right now I have Alexis in my corner. He knows me as a person. He knows me as a player.

‘And I’ve actually had some success with him in the past year, in Washington and Cluj – so it’s going well. I think I want to go back to that more aggressive style of playing I had.’

Jack Draper and Emma Raducanu should be in great shape to show us the best of themselves at Wimbledon 2026!
