CANADA

Canada can boast some of the hottest young talent in world tennis. And that makes a trip to Wimbledon 2026 particularly enticing for the country’s passionate sports fans.

MBOKO AND FERNANDEZ

Not long after Wimbledon 2025, Canadian sensation Victoria Mboko turned women’s tennis on its head. She stormed to a remarkable title triumph in Montreal to announce her arrival on the big stage.
Mboko beat former Grand Slam title winners Sofia Kenin, Coco Gauff, Elena Rybakina and Naomi Osaka on her way to glory.

Why shouldn’t the powerful teenager arrive at Wimbledon 2026 even stronger, with almost a year’s extra experience under her belt?

Mboko could be a serious contender at the Championships.

Another Canadian title winner had thrilled tennis lovers even before Mboko’s breakthrough moment.

We knew all about Leylah Fernandez from her US Open final epic against eventual winner Emma Raducanu in 2021.

But she had slipped off the radar before positively sparkling at the 2025 Citi Open in Washington DC. She won that prestigious tournament in style and against the odds. Now anything is possible.

Leylah is still in her early twenties – and has plenty of time to figure out how to thrive on the beautiful grass at Wimbledon 2026.

DIALLO

Gabriel Diallo made fans sit up and take notice at Wimbledon 2025. Diallo played one of the best matches of the tournament at the tender age of 23, He had only turned pro two years earlier – and continues to learn his craft. But Gabriel was only edged out at Wimbledon by eventual semi-finalist Taylor Fritz after a five-set thriller. Diallo is climbing the rankings at the time of writing. And at 6ft 8ins tall, he will always be a handful for anyone on grass. Watch out for the hot new Canadian talent at Wimbledon 2026!

FINALISTS

A Canadian is going to win Wimbledon one day. Could Victoria Mboko or Gabriel Diallo become the next big contender at Wimbledon?  Compatriots have come close on several occasions.

Big-serving Milos Raonic reached the Wimbledon final in 2016. Eugenie Bouchard did the same in 2014. Denis Shapovalov made the semi-finals of Wimbledon 2021. Felix Auger Aliassime reached the quarters that same year. Felix and Denis still have time to take their dreams a step further.

DABROWSKI

Gabriela Dabrowski reached the women’s doubles final of Wimbledon 2024, just as she had done in 2019. Gabriela and her Kiwi partner Erin Routliffe were eventually edged out in the 2024 showpiece by Taylor Townsend and Katerina Siniakova. At Wimbledon 2025, they reached the quarters. Surely Canadian success is just around the corner?

Bianca Andreescu knows what it’s like to taste Grand Slam glory after her extraordinary US Open victory over the great Serena Williams back in 2019. But now Mboko and Fernandez look more likely to shine at Wimbledon 2026. We can’t wait to find out!

There will always be an intriguing Canadian twist at Wimbledon. Come and see how the plot unfolds for Canadians at Wimbledon 2026! You might well find one or two are central to the story!
