Order of Play for Wimbledon 2025 Day One Is Already Exciting

Wimbledon

June 29, 2025

Order of Play. Three words which tell us the greatest sporting show on earth is ready for us.

The grassy stages are ready at the All England Club. The historic Centre Court and super-cool No1 Court will host some of the best players the world has ever seen.

Order of Play for Day One of Wimbledon 2025. This simple announcement hints at the extraordinary drama to follow on Monday and beyond.

Reigning champion Carlos Alcaraz will face the feisty Italian, Fabio Fognini at 1.30pm on Centre Court.

And those fireworks will signal the symbolic start of the Championships, even though some of the action will already have started elsewhere..

The Alcaraz match will be followed by what might prove to be the only appearance of the much-loved Brit, Katie Boulter in the women’s singles.

She would have to create a huge upset on Centre Court by beating ninth seed Paula Badosa in order to progress.

After that intriguing spectacle, Centre Court spectators will be treated to the power of third seed Alexander Zverev. He plays a Frenchman called Arthur Rinderknech.

Over on No1 Court, the awesome hitting of Aryna Sabalenka opens up the entertainment. She plays Canadian star Carson Branstine.

Order of Play on No1 Court builds the tension to a fascinating crescendo if you’re a British fan.

The middle match will bring together the noisy supporters of Brazilian sensation Joao Fonseca and the more self-contained followers of home favourite Jacob Fearnley.

Both men are enjoying breakthrough years – and the match could go either way on grass.

And finally on No1 court the lucky crowd will see an all-British affair between former US Open champion Emma Raducanu and a plucky teenager few will recognise.

Mimi Xu is still only seventeen yeas old – and will go on court entirely pressure-free. Can she trouble Raducanu early in this delicious slug-fest – and start to turn the screw on the favourite? All will be revealed soon enough.

And then on Tuesday we have Jack Draper against Sebastian Baez, Jannik Sinner versus Luca Nardi and Novak Djokovic against Alexandre Muller to look forward to.

Order of Play yet to be revealed for Tuesday. But anticipation is all part of the fun at Wimbledon 2025. Particularly when the quality of entertainment is guaranteed.

Come and join us at Wimbledon 2025. The first two days already look incredible. We’ll get you seated where you want.
