Emma Raducanu Run Bodes So Well For Wimbledon 2025

Emma Raducanu is letting her tennis do the talking – and her racquet has already created some memorable sporting poetry in Miami.

She has won four WTA matches in a row for the first time since her historic US Open triumph back in 2021.

And Raducanu has put together this impressive run at one of the most prestigious tournaments in the world. Emma’s edge is back at last!

Jessica Pegula is waiting for Raducanu in the quarter-finals. The fourth seed will start the match as favourite in her own country – and rightly so.

However, Emma and her friend Jack Draper have already given a huge lift to their growing army of supporters.

With the European spring already upon us and the British summer just around the corner, English tennis is blossoming in the most wonderful way.

In the last few weeks, we have seen Jack Draper win Indian Wells in swashbuckling style. And now Raducanu is playing with similar freedom and ferocity.

Emma Raducanu and Jack Draper will create an atmosphere at Wimbledon 2025 not seen since Andy Murray’s heyday.

Centre Court is set to go wild as the local heroes prepare to go for glory at the All England Club.

For now Raducanu is on a victory charge in Miami – and her latest victim was America’s Amanda Anisimova.

The London celebrity’s 6-1, 6-3 win was founded on a ruthless first-set performance – and a keen desire to finish the job in the second.

A delighted Emma put it like this: ‘The biggest thing I’m proud of is just finding the competitive spirit. Being there for every ball and drawing that out of myself.

‘I think that’s been missing in the last few months and even a few years at times. I’ve come a long way since Indian Wells. I wasn’t necessarily feeling great about my tennis – about everything.’

She paid tribute to the coaching contribution of fellow Brit Mark Petchey in Miami.

Raducanu explained: ‘This week I’ve had some really good people around me who I trust and have fun with off the court as well. That’s extremely important.’

Emma Raducanu and Jack Draper can do great things at Wimbledon 2025 if they continue to have fun like this.

Meanwhile Emma’s fellow Brit Katie Boulter must have felt for her brave fiance as he was mercilessly taunted by the Brazilian supporters of young sensation Joao Fonseca,

But gritty Alex de Minaur rose above the unsporting attempts to put him off his serve – and triumphed 5-7, 7-5, 6-3 in a dramatic evening classic.

De Minaur will receive a much warmer welcome at Wimbledon 2025. Centre Court is famous for the sporting behaviour of its spectators.
