Denis Shapovalov swiped away his final winner with a dismissive nonchalance – and fell to the floor at the net.

Shapovalov had just beaten world number five Casper Ruud 7-5, 6-3 to clinch the biggest title of his career.

Carlitos finally edged it 6-4, 3-6, 6-2. The opening games of the deciding set were far closer than the score-line suggests.
