Emma Raducanu is determined to be even better in 2025. And that means using all her natural qualities in the hunt for fresh tennis silverware.
To help achieve this, Emma has enlisted the services of renowned fitness trainer Yutaka Nakamura.
The fact that Nakamura has worked with Grand Slam champions Maria Sharapova and Naomi Osaka in the past speaks volumes for the young Brit’s enduring ambition.
Raducanu explained: ‘My natural athleticism is something that I have to use. I think I can become one of the best athletes out there in tennis. I’m just looking forward to seeing how much I can do.’
It’s a great mindset for a young woman who is already worth $15.2 million according to Forbes. Some sports professionals in her predicament might have been tempted to let all the injuries get the better of her.
She could have retired to treasure the memory of her extraordinary US Open triumph back in 2021. She could have focused on other things for the rest of her life.
Emma Raducanu is showing that she still loves tennis. And she would love nothing more than to shine at Wimbledon 2025.
Emma conjured some impressive performances towards the end of the 2024 season. Now the London girl is back up to world number 58 – and seems determined to keep climbing in the New Year.
Former Wimbledon champion Pat Cash believes Raducanu will be back at the business end of the biggest tournaments in 2025.
Cash explained: ‘She had a half-decent year when she was able to play matches. Now she has the opportunity to come through.
‘You have to hope Raducanu stays fit and can get matches under her belt. She certainly has the talent to do very well.
‘One or two players right at the top have separated themselves. But there is a gap below that. Players can come through to the latter stages of tournaments.’
Emma Raducanu shares this vision and sees the opportunity to go deep at Grand Slam tournaments such as Wimbledon 2025.
She has reached the second week at the All England Club before. And twice she has battled her way through to the fourth round.
But wouldn’t it be great to see a classic showdown between Emma Raducanu and Coco Gauff on Centre Court at Wimbledon 2025? It’s definitely possible in the latter stages next time around.
