Jasmine Paolini can look back on an incredible year. The pocket rocket had already reached the French Open and Wimbledon finals before clinching Olympic doubles gold.

Now she has kissed the silverware in triumph after leading Italy to glory at the Billie Jean King Cup.

But one of the best-loved new stars in tennis won’t be looking back for too long. Paolini will be desperate to maintain momentum.

Jasmine Paolini will make glory at Wimbledon 2025 one of her big targets as she plots her tennis adventures in the New Year.

But for now, she can reflect on a breakthrough year with understandable pleasure and no small measure of disbelief.

‘It’s a joke,’ she concluded joyfully after Italy’s victory over Slovakia in the Billie Jean Cup final. ‘To finish like this is the perfect ending, so I’m really happy.

‘At the beginning of the tournament I didn’t think about the title because it’s tough. It’s a long tournament and anything can happen. But I’m really happy we have this trophy in our hands.’

And at the beginning of 2024 she couldn’t have imagined such success either. At the age of 28, many would have suspected her best tennis years were behind her. Now we all know differently.

After her French Open final appearance, Paolini arrived at Wimbledon full of confidence. She defeated the English-educated Donna Vekic 2-6, 6-4, 7-6 (10-8) in a Centre Court semi-final classic.

Jasmine Paolini was suddenly fancied for the Wimbledon title itself – but fell to the comeback of Barbora Krejcikova in the showpiece.

She will learn from that experience. You won’t see Paolini looking tight or suffering from nerves if she reaches the Wimbledon final next time around.

Jasmine Paolini must be one of the favourites for Wimbledon 2025 on the form she has shown in the last twelve months.

The Wimbledon drama didn’t blunt her desire at her Olympics because she has such an extraordinary appetite for success.

Paolini teamed up with Sara Errani to defeat Mirra Andreeva and Diana Schnaider 2-6, 6-1, 10-7 for their magical gold medal moment. Now Paolini has been tasting success for Italy once more.

You always get supreme drama when Jasmine Paolini is involved. One way or another, her battles on court are usually rollercoaster affairs.

Have you booked your tickets to see Jasmine Paolini, Coco Gauff, Emma Raducanu and all the other superstars on Centre Court at Wimbledon 2025?

We can help you with that if you get in touch. It would be an ideal Christmas present for someone special.
