Caroline Wozniacki has defied time to set up a fascinating showdown with Coco Gauff at the US Open.
Wimbledon star Gauff is one of the favourites for the tournament at Flushing Meadows.
But no one expected Wozniacki to fair quite so well – not after all she has been through in recent years.
Two children and retirement couldn’t keep Caroline away from the sport she loves, though.
And here’s the amazing thing: Wozniacki is moving like a teenager! She has a new lease of life that could last for years.

And Coco is relishing their big match just as much. Fourteen years separate the ages of these two stars, who are loving different ends of their careers.
Gauff, still just 19, admitted: ‘It’s going to be interesting, I never thought I would ever be in this position, especially after she retired and came back.
‘She is still a really fit player. She looked like she was striking the ball pretty clean today against Jenny Brady
‘I’m sure she knows my game from commentating. I know a little bit of her just from watching her from growing up. It’s going to be really cool.’
Wozniacki, now a sprightly 33, said: ‘I can’t believe I’m here today doing this instead of watching from the outside.’
Gauff took three sets to defeat Elise Mertens, who was excellent until she finally crumbled. Coco was relieved to advance 3-6, 6-3, 6-0.
Meanwhile Wozniacki was in early trouble against Brady but recovered to romp away 4-6, 6-3, 6-1.
And when you consider that Novak Djokovic dropped two sets before beating compatriot Laslo Djere 4-6, 4-6, 6-1, 6-1, 6-3, it shows an early setback isn’t always something to worry about.
‘It shows I don’t go down without a fight,’ warned Gauff after her own war of attrition. And neither will Wozniacki fold easily – not on this sparkling form!
