Carlos Alcaraz and Iga Swiatek have shown why they’re top seeds by reaching the semi-finals of the singles in Indian Wells.
Spaniard Alcaraz defeated Canada’s Felix Auger-Aliassime 6-4, 6-4 in his first ever victory over his fellow youngster.
Tennis lovers will be thrilled that such an explosive young phenomenon is returning to his best.

The talented teenager will take on Jannik Sinner in the semi-final after the Italian saw off brilliant American Taylor Fritz 6-4, 4-6, 6-4.
But USA’s strength in depth means there will still be an American representative in the Indian Wells semis.
Frances Tiafoe put in a sparkling performance to beat a former champion here, Britain’s Cameron Norrie.
His 6-4, 6-4 win gives Tiafoe the chance to face Daniil Medvedev at the penultimate stage.
Meanwhile Iga Swiatek has a chance for revenge in the women’s singles.
The prolific Pole sank Sorana Cirstea 6-2, 6-3 – and now she sets her sights on the Wimbledon champion, Elena Rybakina.
It was Rybakina who dumped Swiatek out of the Australian Open earlier this year.
But you sense Swiatek may be embarking on one of those unstoppable surges we have seen from her before.
Swiatek said: ‘From the beginning of the tournament I felt this positive energy. The fans are really supportive.’
Iga Swiatek on Centre Court at Wimbledon 2023 this summer will attract plenty of support as well!
Meanwhile the other women’s semi-final at Indian Wells features Aussie Open champion Aryna Sabalenka and Maria Sakkari.
