July 25, 2022

Roger Federer made a dramatic appearance on Centre Court a few weeks ago and received a standing ovation.

It was undoubtedly the highlight of the Centenary Celebrations and reminded the Swiss genius how much he is still loved at the All England Club.

It must also have created a longing in the world’s favourite superstar.

How Roger Federer would love to be back as a player one last time at Wimbledon 2023!

Andy Murray will be thinking he could enjoy a last hurrah too, alongside Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic.

The idea of the Big Four playing together again isn’t just a dream.

It looks set to become a reality in just a few weeks’ time in England.

Federer, Murray, Nadal and Djokovic are due to represent Team Europe against Team World in the Laver Cup at London’s O2 Arena in September.

But that event has more of an exhibition feel compared to the supreme Grand Slam magnificence that is Wimbledon 2023.

The Laver Cup is, however, an important stepping stone on Federer’s comeback trail.

If he is physically fit and able, Roger will want to make 2023 a farewell tour of his favourite tennis venues.

Roger Federer will focus on Wimbledon 2023 above all other events.

Just to win a match there one last time and receive the adulation of Centre Court as a player.

That’s what Roger Federer wants to do above all his other future tennis goals.

It would be a fitting farewell after everything the great man has done and all he has won.

Andy Murray had another taste of that Centre Court magic a few weeks ago and he loved it.

Like Federer, Murray will want to play at Wimbledon one last time.

Roger Federer versus Andy Murray at Wimbledon 2023. Imagine that!

Meanwhile Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal should still be genuine title contenders at the All England Club next summer.

Can the Big Four play Wimbledon 2023?

Yes, the dream is still a distinct possibility!

Roger Federer will make it happen if he possibly can.

We’re looking forward to living that dream on the cherished Wimbledon grass already!
