Serena Williams will make a dramatic return to Grand Slam tennis at Wimbledon 2022.
The American superstar has been given a wild card to take part in the singles at the All England Club.
‘SW19 it’s a date,’ she confirmed online. ‘I am excited to be back on grass – a surface that has been so good to me throughout my career.’
She then tagged in the “Rena Army,” as if imploring all her most passionate supporters to be there to cheer her one last time.
And that is indeed spectacular news for her legions of fans as they flock to London to see one of sport’s greatest sights.
