Cameron Norrie is in sparkling form ahead of Wimbledon 2022.
Fellow Brit Andy Murray is already focusing on the grass.
His dream is to win Wimbledon one last time and he will do everything in his power to make that happen.
But Norrie is living the dream on clay before he heads home for the biggest tournament of them all.
He has just won Lyon by beating Slovakian Alex Molcan 6-3, 6-7 (3-7), 6-1 for his fourth ATP title.
Just imagine Cameron Norrie and Sir Andy Murray smashing it on Centre Court at Wimbledon 2022!
It’ll be a fantastic spectacle. And after his triumph in France, Cameron is hungry for more silverware.
Just to see his face as he looked to the heavens after winning the weekend’s prestigious final told the story of his delight.
Norrie explained: ‘It is my first title on clay so it means a lot to me. I can’t be happier with how I handled everything this week.
‘This one feels the best so far. I don’t know why, it is just so special and I’m really speechless.’
There’s no reason why the world number eleven cannot go deep at Wimbledon 2022.
He has the quality and the determination and now he has the confidence too.
Wimbledon 2022 could be a very good year for Cameron Norrie.
It could also be the last chance for us to appreciate the great Andy Murray.
And don’t forget this is Centre Court’s Centenary Year!
There will be all kinds of historic celebrations. The Middle Sunday, in particular, will see the All England Club focus on the past and future centuries of tennis action.
It should be something unforgettable to behold.
You can bet there will be plenty of past champions present to help celebrate this momentous landmark during Wimbledon fortnight.
